PopPhotographers! In honor of Earth Day this week, we challenged you to share images that embody each element (earth, wind, fire and water) to honor and appreciate its beauty. Your submissions included lakeside scenes, spectacular mountain peaks and even fire’s fiery flames! Congratulations to all this week’s winners who captured beautiful Earth-related shots for our challenge!
Today, let’s celebrate all that the Earth has to offer us–and consider ways we can be more considerate of our home planet. From volunteering for an environmental cause or simply enjoying nature’s tranquil beauty, these images should serve as reminders that Earth is indeed an amazing place. Let’s all work towards keeping it that way!
If you would like to submit an image for consideration, check our website, follow us on Instagram, or join our (NEW!) Facebook group where each week the theme will be announced on Mondays.

Dave Lemoine’s image serves as a timely reminder not to jump to conclusions too quickly. At first, this looked like a photo from California ablaze; but his caption clarified it was actually taking place in Missouri as part of a prescribed burn program to reduce potential flammability during fire season. His photo captures intensity, heat and urgency simultaneously while reminding us to act quickly before fire season sets a record number of flames engulfing more land than ever.
Jill Dehlin takes us back to a peaceful summer morning at Waterfront Inn in Chicago when the sky was colored a sherbet orange and pink hue, creating an idyllic glow over Lake Ontario. Two boats floating quietly out on the water stood out to me as inviting me to come closer and appreciate this hidden corner of nature’s magnificence.
