Japan Camera Hunter (JCH) recently teased an ISO 400 color slide film – marking yet another breakthrough this week after Kodak unveiled plans to offer Kodak Gold 200 medium format film, and CineStill announced a crowd-funding campaign for daylight-balanced ISO 400 color film called 400Dynamic (which has since been fully funded).
An ISO 400 color slide film from JCH is certainly significant in today’s film photography world; no such product had previously existed on the market since Fujifilm discontinued their Provia 400X back in 2013. Therefore, JCH’s announcement opens up an array of shooting scenarios wherein color slide film may now be utilized more extensively.
Fugufilm 400 slides undergo standard E-6 processing, similar to other slide films like Kodak Ektachrome and Fujichrome.
